#2--Don't think about what your mother is going to think about your writing or your husband or your first grade teacher because if you do you'll be censoring yourself and that is extremely harmful to writing, You end up kind of censoring your best stuff before you even get it out. I always think of keeping it between yourself and the page.

How true is this? Too often we focus on format,mispelled words,edit items that take us out of the enjoyment of writing and forget why we're writing in the 1st place. I agree with her on this,just let the words flow from you to the paper, everything else can be corrected later. Enjoy and have fun with your creativity!
